Press & Photographers Passes

Chilfest has a limited number of press Passes for which demand always far exceeds supply.


Those considered for press accreditation to the festival are: National & Local Newspapers, National / International Wire Services & News Agencies and Established Music Publications / Websites. Applications from uncommissioned freelancers or photographers will be considered, but only granted in special circumstances and if there is any availability after applications from agency and newspapers have been finalised.

We are not able to provide press tickets to social media influencers, please see our page with regards to working with influencers.

Applications are open all year until June 25th 2025 at which point applications will be closed. NB: there may be some delays in responding during particularly busy periods.

Rules

• Please respect the privacy of festival goers, outside of crowd shots please ask permission if shooting close-ups.
• A Photographers pass will give access to the pit, normally for the first 2-3 songs, after which you must leave the area or before if asked to do so. Be respectful of the audience.
• Access to the back of the stage itself and ramps is only available to the resident Chilfest photographer and Videographer and not all with a photographer or press pass. Please be aware that if you break this rule, you may be asked to leave.
• If you have backstage access, you should not approach artists for interviews or photographs prior to their performance. You must wait until after their performance and interviews take place off stage and in the Green Room.
• Your pass should be worn at all times and made available to security when asked. The pass is not transferable and must not be used by anyone other than yourself. Break this rule and you will be asked to leave.
• If you wish to interview artists after there performance, be courtesy and ask, don’t be disappointed if they are unable to be interviewed, sometime artists are on a tight schedule and need to shoot of to another event.
